This is an old working mill on the Appalachian Mountains that has been restored and maintained by the State of Virginia. At the Mabry Mill, visitors can watch corn being milled, blankets being weaved, and there is a working tannery and a blacksmith building where you can watch the ironsmith create tools. This is maintained for the purpose of exhibiting the very old lifestyle of the mountain people.
