This triptych illustrates the topography and gradual demarcation of coastal vegetation from the grasses on the beach, to the coconut trees, to the tall sabal palms and short palmettos, and finally the sea grapes on the far right as ground elevation increases. The coconut tree and sea grape thrive best in the sub-tropical climate of south Florida. Sea grapes can be used to make jelly.
